Composite fillings
A composite filling repairs a tooth damaged by decay with a tooth-coloured material that bonds to the tooth and is matched to its shade.
When a filling is needed
A cavity does not heal on its own. Treated early, it needs only a small filling; left alone, it can reach the nerve and need far more.
What to expect
The tooth is numbed, the decay is removed, and the filling is placed in layers, set with a light, then shaped and polished so your bite feels normal.
